Giant Wool Yarn Teal

Our giant British wool yarn can be knit with 40-60mm needles or with the arm knitting technique to create beautiful giant knit blankets and other accessories.
The yarn is proudly made from British wool and produced in Yorkshire at the heart of the woollen industry. We chose to use Masham wool for our jumbo yarn to support our amazing farmers and manufacturers here in Britain. Other wool commonly used for giant yarn, such as Merino, cannot be produced in the UK as the sheep need a much hotter climate.
Mashams have been bred for over a century on the hills of Northern England. These sheep are commonly bred with Teeswater rams, renowned for their fine wool and long-stapled fleece, with Dalesbred or Swaledale ewes. The wool in it’s un-spun form makes for an extremely soft and strong giant yarn.
