Our giant wool yarn is proudly made from 100% British Wool, produced in Yorkshire at the heart of the woollen industry. We chose to use Masham Wool for our jumbo yarn to support our amazing farmers and manufacturers here in the UK.
Mashams have been bred for over a century on the hills of Northern England. These sheep are commonly bred with Teeswater rams, renowned for their fine wool and long-stapled fleece, with Dalesbred or Swaledale ewes. The wool in it’s un-spun form makes for an extremely soft and strong giant yarn.
Sustainably sourced from the highlands of Peru, with it’s hard to find thickness and beautifully soft touch, the wool used to make all our woolly hats and scarves will keep you perfectly warm and cosy. Every piece is handmade using super chunky knitting needles and can be custom made in any colour combination you desire!
The Highland Peruvian sheep is a cross breed, deriving from Merino and Corriedale, so it’s wool is naturally soft whilst staying strong and durable.
